WELCOME TO LAVA LAVA ISLAND:
WHERE JESUS' LOVE FLOWS!

Vacation Bible School 2004 at First Congregational Church June 21-25

"Muhalo" is the Hawaiian word for "thank you," so what better way to give thanks to God during this year's Vacation Bible School at First Congregational Church, set on Lava Lava Island, where "Jesus' Love Flows!"  This was a week of joyous singing led by the musical stylings of the "Bird Brains,"(including the Island theme song, "Everybody Come Along, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!"), tasty tropical snacks ("Cookie Compasses" and "Barbell donut holes"), Bible adventures from the the life of Jesus, games at the "Jungle Gym," Crafts, a "Lava Lava Luau," and of course, adventures with Chadder the Chipmunk! All in all, it was a great time for over 125 children, and nearly 50 youth and adult leaders and helpers who took part in this annual this five-day event!  What follows is a multi-page gallery of photos taken throughout the week.  Special thanks to VBS co-directors Lisa Lowry and Linda Thomas, as well as to everyone who made this another successful and meaningful celebration!
