Many people like the convenience of automatic withdrawal to make payments of various kinds, and it is becoming quite common in many churches, including ours. Nearly half of our supporters use this method currently. Donations to our food pantry are very much welcomed. It is suggested that you talk to someone at the food pantry first to find out what the greatest food need is at that time. You can drop food off at the pantry facility itself (the Parish Hall in back of the church building) during its hours of operations, Tuesdays and Thursday s from 9 a.m. to noon. The Ministry of Governing and Finances (formerly the Board of Trustees) oversees all matters concerning the church budget. You can approach a member of the Ministry with any questions you might have. If you are not sure who is a member call the church office at 883-2342 and you will be assisted in contacting a Trustee.

Memorial donations go into a special account, and the interest from that account is used mostly to purchase special, more permanent items for our church. Donations to our Memorial Fund should be labeled as such, and the name of the person in whose memory the gift is being made should be indicated as well. You can place your donation in the offering plate on Sunday morning, mail it to the First Congregational Church of Scarborough 161 Black Point Road, Scarborough, ME 04074 or drop it off at the church office at 161 Black Point Road, Scarborough, Maine.

The flowers that adorn our sanctuary on Sunday mornings are the responsibility of the Flower Committee of our church. Flowers are often given in honor or memory of a person or to celebrate a special event. There is a sign up sheet down in the vestry (basement) of the church which is used to fill the flower calendar for each Sunday.
