  • HOW DO I VOLUNTEER WITHIN THE CHURCH?
    There are numerous opportunities to serve God and practice your faith within the First Congregational Church of Scarborough?everything from teaching Sunday School to volunteering at the food pantry we sponsor. If you want to volunteer within the church in some way, contact the pastor at 883-2342 to discuss what your interests are and how you would like to utilize your abilities.Back to top

  • HOW DO I VOLUNTEER IN THE COMMUNITY WITH A CHURCH GROUP?
    When the First Congregational Church of Scarborough participates in a community activity, it is usually publicized in our newsletter and Sunday bulletin or announced during Sunday morning worship services. If you hear of an activity you are interested in being a part of, you can contact the spokesperson for that activity for more information.Back to top

  • HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF A CHURCH BOARD OR COMMITTEE?
    Some of our church boards and committees require one to be a member of the church before serving on them. That being said, the Nominating Committee of the First Congregational Church of Scarborough is responsible for filling vacancies in our church boards and committees. If you have a board or committee you are interested in becoming a member of, contact the church office at 883-2342 and you will be put in touch with a member of the Nominating Committee. Back to top

  • HOW DO I UTILIZE THE FOOD PANTRY?
    Our food pantry has been around for a long time and has assisted many people who were struggling to put enough food on the table for themselves and their families. The pantry is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon, and is located in the Parish House behind the church building. For more information or for food assistance, you can contact the church office at 883-2342 or come to the food pantry and talk to a volunteer during its hours of operation.Back to top

  • HOW CAN I SIGN UP TO WORK ON A HABITAT HOUSE?
    Some members of the First Congregational Church of Scarborough have been involved in Habitat for Humanity projects, from fund raising walks to actually working on a building project. If you have an interest, contact the church office at 883-2342 to see if a Habitat activity is currently scheduled. Back to top
